California Veggie Wrap

Summertime is here, and that means it's the season of cool and refreshing meals. This California Veggie Wrap is cool, crunchy, and satisfying, and it pairs perfectly with juicy watermelon. Although I provide fillings & toppings in this recipe, please feel free to customize your wrap however you like! Then, take your wrap with you to the beach, the pool, or wherever else your summer adventures may lead you!

Serves: 1


  • 1 whole wheat wrap
  • 2 Tbsp hummus
  • 1-2 oz cheese (any kind you prefer, sliced or shredded)
  • 1/2 cucumber, washed and sliced 
  • 1/4 tomato, washed and sliced
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 tomato
  • 1 handful salad greens, any kind you prefer
  • Optional additions: avocado slices (note: it’s best to add the avocado the day
  • of or the day before for optimal freshness), mayo/mustard, your favorite
  • dressing, red pepper flakes, hot sauce


  • Lay out a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap
  • Place the wrap on top of the sheet, and layer with hummus, cheese, and vegetables
  • Slowly and carefully roll the wrap, keeping all the ingredients inside. Then, tightly wrap in the parchment paper/plastic wrap to keep everything contained. Be sure that the veggie wrap is completely covered 
  • Repeat this process to make as many wraps as you wish, and store in the refrigerator
