Ingredients:
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 lb dried split peas
- 6 cups broth (any kind you prefer)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ½ tsp thyme
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a slow cooker, and cook on “high” for 5-6 hours, or on “low” for 8-10 hours
- Remove bay leaf, serve immediately or let cool, cover, and store in the refrigerator
